Use CartRevolt in Claude and Codex
Last updated
Find community-checked deals and post the ones you find, as yourself, without leaving Claude or Codex. Add one address, sign in with your CartRevolt account and choose what the app may do.

What the connector does
The connector lets Claude or Codex use CartRevolt for you. Ask in your own words and it can search live deals, check whether a deal is already posted, preview a deal from a store link, post it under your name, and tell you what happened to your posts.
It acts as you, with your own CartRevolt account, and nothing more: there are no tools for draws, points or roles, and it never returns another member's private data.
Add it in Claude
On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app:
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Select Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it CartRevolt, paste this address, keep the sign-in settings Claude finds and select Add:
https://cartrevolt.com/mcpClaude opens CartRevolt's sign-in and then asks what Claude may do (see the next section). To use it in a chat, select the + button, then Connectors, and turn CartRevolt on.
On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it once under Organization settings, Connectors, and each member selects Connect. Connectors added on the web or in the desktop app also work in Claude's mobile apps.
Add it in Codex
In a terminal, run these two commands:
codex mcp add cartrevolt --url https://cartrevolt.com/mcpcodex mcp login cartrevoltThe second one opens your browser for the same sign-in and permissions as in Claude. The Codex IDE extension uses the same setup.
Signing in and what you allow
You sign in with your CartRevolt account through Google, Apple or Instagram. If you don't have one yet, your first sign-in creates it (you need to be 18 or older and in the United States). Claude and Codex never see the password of the account you sign in with.
Then CartRevolt shows which app is asking and what it may do, with Allow and Don't allow:
- Find deals: Search live deals and check whether a deal is already posted.
- Post deals as you: Preview and post deals under your name, and see the status of your posts. Every post goes through the same checks and limits as on the website.
- Moderate (moderators only): See the moderation queue with the AI's suggestions and decide on items, as you can on the website.
Apps ask for the first two. Moderate is offered only to members who moderate on CartRevolt, and works only while they still do.
What you can ask
- "Find me a deal on a cordless vacuum on CartRevolt."
- "Is there a working coupon code for Target on CartRevolt right now?"
- "Has anyone posted this deal yet? <product link>"
- "Preview this deal for CartRevolt: <product link>, $24.99 with code SAVE10. If it looks fine, post it."
- "What happened to the deals I posted this week?"
- Moderators: "Show me the CartRevolt review queue and accept the AI's suggestions you agree with."
Replace the parts in angle brackets with your own link.
What each tool does
Claude and Codex pick the tool for what you ask. Moderators see all seven; everyone else sees the first five.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search deals | Searches live deals by words, a coupon code, a store or a category. Returns up to 20, with titles, prices, stores and a link to each deal page. |
| Check for a duplicate | Says whether a live or waiting deal already covers a link, or a title at a store, and links to it, so you can add a note there instead of posting again. |
| Preview a deal | Reads the store's product page once, runs the duplicate, price, content and link checks and an AI check, and says whether the deal would go live, wait for review or needs a fix, with the reasons. Saves nothing. |
| Post a deal | Posts the deal under your name through the same path as the website's Post a deal page, and answers published, waiting for review with the reasons, or already posted with a link to that deal. If the app resends the same request, for example after a timeout, you get the first answer back, not a second post. |
| My submissions | Lists your own posts, newest first, with each one's status and any message from a moderator. |
| Moderation queueModerators | Shows what waits for a decision, most urgent first, with the AI's suggestion and its reason. |
| Decide a queue itemModerators | Accepts the AI's suggestion on a queue item, or overrides it with an action and a reason, as on the website's Moderation page. Claude asks you before each one. |
Limits and checks
A deal posted from Claude or Codex goes through exactly the same checks as one posted on the website: the store link check, the duplicate rule (the first post wins), the price check against the store's page, photo processing and, for new members or doubtful posts, review by a moderator. Nothing skips a check.
How many deals you can post through Claude or Codex each day depends on your role:
- Members: 1 deal a day.
- Trusted members: 2 deals a day. Trusted means trust level 2 or higher, or 10 deals approved and 3 people saying a code you shared worked.
- Moderators: 2 deals a day.
- Admins: no daily limit.
For everyone:
- The day starts again at midnight Central time. Only posts that were saved count.
- Accounts can post through Claude or Codex once they're 7 days old; newer accounts post on the website.
- Until you have 3 deals approved, your posts from Claude or Codex wait for a moderator.
- The website's daily limit applies too: 5 deals a day, 20 at trust level 2 or higher, counting posts from anywhere.
- Each connected app can post up to 30 deals a day.
- You can preview up to 40 deals an hour.
- Each connection can make up to 60 requests a minute.
When a limit stops a post or a preview, the tool says which one and when you can try again.
Privacy
CartRevolt receives only what each request needs: your search words, or the deal you post with its link, price, codes and any screenshot you add. It never receives your conversation with Claude or Codex, their memory or your files.
To check a deal, the connector reads the store's product page once. A deal you post is public, like any post on the website. We keep which app you connected, what you allowed it to do and when it was last used, and only hashes of its access keys. Access keys expire after an hour, and the keys that renew them after 30 days.
The privacy policy has the details, including how long each item is kept.
Disconnect
Open Settings, then Connected apps, and select Disconnect next to the app. It stops working at once. Deleting your account ends every connection. You can also remove the connector in Claude under Customize, Connectors.
